Yi Xin Bing Piano, Comic Fiesta 2018, and other Upload Related Postings

Hi Blog. It's been a while. Truth to be told, I've totally lost the One-Video-One-Post discipline already =.= I don't even remember what I posted last time until I popped open Blogger to see the title of my last post. Well, I have some time dedicated to it right now, and I'll proceed to provide some insights as to what has happened between the long gaps of uploading contents. The sections are as follows: Food Fantasy, Chinese Orchestra, Comic Fiesta 2018, and Yi Xin Bing Piano arrangement 疑心病 by 任然. Ctrl + F to read whichever portions you're interested in. =D

Food Fantasy
Yep. Probably it's died down now, but I was in the hype of Food Fantasy a few months ago. When it came out, the first area's OST called Gloriville, instantly caught my attention so much, that I quickly learnt it before letting go my Korg back in the UK. It was ultimately the FINAL video that I made with the amazing Korg that was with me since the start of 2018 (8th of January 2018) till some time in August or July (sadly I can't remember the date, but its in my phone somewhere... I'll look for the pics)
Ahh yesss. That's my babe in the UK. Now in the hands of a young learner =)

Me and Korgi before packing Korgi.
And there he goes...
Right now, Korgi's in the hands of a young learner, and I hope she's doing well. Korgi was sold at a GOOD price for the duration I had it (less than a year old), and it also was inclusive of the stand which I bought extra too (I gave the stand for free).

Upon returning home, I continued to make Food Fantasy videos and in total I made 3 of them: Gloriville, Theme Song, and Sakurajima OSTs. You can check them out here

Chinese Orchestra Concert
School then restarted, and I was heavily taken up by my involvement in the Chinese Orchestra. Oddly enough, I entered it due to a friend recommending me to join them, and it was indeed a fun time with them =) I had zero knowledge on other instruments, so I ended up with some percussions hehehe.  Practice time was severely affected, as the commitment to the club took up my weekends which is normally the time I spend practicing the most (and to revise my work as well). I still managed to make some sheets during that time, but productivity was rather low. But it was rather worth the investment as our concert was pulled off successfully, and I'd say everyone enjoyed themselves then.

The whole CO squad shot.

To me, I agreed on joining the team was to learn to be more IN TIME. I felt as though some of my arrangements were rather messy in terms of time keeping. So as a percussionist, you gotta keep in time so as to not break the tempo and more importantly: DONT MESS UP THE FLOW. It applies to all sort of group performances. But I've been away from group performances for a long while, and I kinda felt it was a very nice environment to learn again how to LOOK AT SHEETS and to listen for queues to enter and hit whatever you needed to. Once more, it was a very lovely squad, and I hope if I'm again involved next year, I'll manage my time more to keep uploading contents to my channel. Thanks friend. Your recommendation was truly a blessing.

Comic Fiesta 2018
WHOOSH~ Honestly, I was prepared to let go this year's due to how much work I needed to catch up on due to my CO involvement. However, after seeing lots of people sharing their photos online, having a few friends asking me if I was gonna attend it, I finally made the decision on Saturday night to attend CF 2018 on Sunday (the immediate following day). And thankfully I found a seller online who was selling of the early bird ticket at the same original price, and was granted entry into the venue without having to wait to buy the ON-SITE TICKETS. It saved me SO MUCH TIME, that I managed to have a photo with lovely cosplayer: Ying Tze!!

Woooahhhh NICE PIZZZASSSSSS
I didn't really know what I really wanted to do there, since I attend conventions to be one with the atmosphere where all weebs and all unite for the weekend. I passed by a Clazroom booth (?) and was lucky enough to be in time to purchase a couple of postcards (?) and a file (altogether were RM15! O_O What a bargain!) to have them signed by Ying Tze herself, and of course SO DAMNED LUCKKY to be the LAST PERSON in line to have her sign the merchandises before she had to return to her actual booth where her followers/fans/supporters/friends were already lining up to purchase her more luxurious products like her photobook, posters, and the likes. Damn if I had more of a bigger budget to spend, I could have supported more of the cosplayers I follow online like Ely, Mon and Angie~ but yea poor me and poor pockets make me a poor excuse for a loyal supporter haha. So what did I do? I simply snapped some shots as I made my way through the crowded hall to find where their booths were located.
There's the kawaii Mon~

There's the elegant Ely...

That's  fabulous Angie. An unfortunate timing as a stranger extended his hand to take a pic with Siu Tao who was sharing the same booth with Angie >.<

Aww... So close yet so far...
I could take ages to explain how I got into anime, but I'll keep that for another time (or had I already mentioned it sometime ago?). TLDR: I am very very amazed by their artistic prowess. They make their costumes so true to the anime characters, and I have so much trouble staying true to the essence of the anime OSTs I arrange. I really wish I can improve better, and make better music. Perhaps one day they'll notice me? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH DREAM BOI KEEP DREAMING.

OHH speaking of artist prowess, check out this Reinhardt cosplay!

Geez what a suit!
I don't play Overwatch, but damned, this was wayyyyyyy tooo cool to not have a picture with the fella. Its so awesome! One of the event crew filmed him after giving him some instructions on how to walk as the cameraman panned his way around him to get a good 360 view of the entire suit. Freaking awesome! You deserve to win the cosplay competition if you participated in it.

As for some memorabilia for the event, I bought some DiTF pin badges, and a must have Attack on Titan shirt whew! All for less than RM80. (The shirt was the most expensive stuff I got, but its the standard price for other stalls as well. I went around comparing prices and they were all in the same range of RM50-RM60 for a simple shirt. RM100 for a hoodie sort of jacket.)

Yea. One anime taught me bravery and perseverance, and one reminded me of the time I had in the UK.

Ohh and this too!

Diz biggg Eevee plushie for RM40!!
Hhehehe the Eevee was from a lucky roll sort of game. It was RM40 a roll for a chance to win AT LEAST 2 small plushies, or 1 BIG boi. Since it was kinda more worth it compared to other stalls, my friend and I decided to roll one each and he got a Pikachu while I got an Eevee heheh.

That's quite about how much I spent: a good RM150 for some items that I could appreciate having. Though it was kinda bummer I didnt actually get to fully support Angie and the other cosplayers, I was satisfied enough with having these 2 badges:

HAHAHAHAHAHA by now I've given myself away as some fanboi of Angie LUL
Well, I believe there's no shame in showing support responsibly, and that you don't simply pour out cash for your idols. It all comes down to spending responsibly in the best way you can. The upper badge was the first badge from Ying Tze which I bought in 2016 during Animangaki. I still kept it until that day to pin in on my bag to CF. It kinda reminds me of the first experience being in an anime convention, and it truly was one of the best first experience's in the realm of anime. Surrounded by anime fans and friends, it was truly a memorable event. As for this year's CF, it was enjoyable as the bro/friend joined me shortly after I arrived, and we spent cash together and also had some time to watch some stage events before I went back early to attend to some business.

Oh MERRY CHRISTMAS too! It's Christmas for 2018 as I'm typing this line~

Hope to have more fun next year in CF 2019!

疑心病 钢琴 Yi Xin Bing Piano Arrangement

Finally, the post related to the corresponding video! 疑心病 钢琴 Yi Xin Bing Piano Arrangement

This song was requested by Gary Ng (hello~) some time ago when I was still in the UK (my goodness, that's truly a VERY LONG Delay O_O). I've managed to squeeze some hours everyday to try and make it a good recording, and I'm quite satisfied with the results. It's slightly neater (to me), but somehow my Midi device didn't pick up the dynamics that were finer through the piece. Well Gary I hope you like it, and there will be sheets prepared too!

Hang tight for my sheets as exams are coming and I haven't finished revising!!!!!

Make sure to click the sub button and bell to receive instant update on my future posting. Thanks for reading this post, and I've just reached 600 subs some weeks ago, and 1k subs doesn't seem too far now. Thanks again for all the support on my channel! I wish to improve further, and become a version of myself who can strongly call myself a pianist, which I now do not have the rights to call myself as one.

Thank you again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
