Whoops looks like I'm starting to lose my discipline in 1-video-1-post rule...

Anyway, I've made a video which was requested, and it was for Akame Ga Kill OST - Sheele OST. Wew I managed to do it in time before I had to leave the piano for good for the remaining year!

Well I could have managed this posting much better but I was in a hurry to get things done and prepare for my travel to France and Brussels I completely forgot about the blog post.

TLDR; I managed to do a last recording, went to travel, enjoyed myself VERY MUCH, and spent a snowy Christmas with my sister, and I'm back home at my flat to.... STUDY FOR MY EXAMS!!!!

Oh and Fate/Apocrypha just aired its last episode. I've caught up with some episodes, and approaching the end already. It was a nice anime, an enjoyable one indeed, and I know I'll get a little bit sentimental after watching the final episode ... Sob sob...

So here's to another good YouTube journey year for 2018, and thank you for 400 subs. I really hope to be an icon for Anime-Mandarin piano arrangements, and my new year resolution is to MEMORIZE ALL OF MY ANIME ARRANGEMENTS!

我来自纽约2 The Kid From The Big Apple 2

Hi all. LONG POST.

Pardon my tone in the previous post. I had to take some time to look back at my channel and think through how I want to proceed. And glad to say that after a week of thinking, I've finally come to terms with my beginnings and what I've been through, and decided that my channel will be specially dedicated to tell of my musical exposure, my dreams of improvement, and how I would like to feel satisfied with what I;m doing.

The Kid From The Big Apple 2 just premiered last Thursday, and so did Justice League, so it was somewhat downplayed by Justice League hype... Meh, hopefully it didn;t take too much attention away from our local production!

Anyway, The Kid From The Big Apple aired last year, and here it is the sequel! I can still remember clearly when I was making the arrangement for 小天地，the theme for The Kid From The Big Apple, and how that was the catalyst for me to start making sheets. Looking back , I literally wrote those sheets by hand, i took some manuscript paper, and drew all the bar lines, timing and all the taugeh for it XD. Wasn't very efficient at it btw...

Then I started sharing it on my YouTube channel. I guess since it was really touching (I mean the movie) , people just got attracted to the song. And from there on, I personally sent countless emails to people asking for my sheets, and I was really happy! People liked my sheets, even though they were so simple! I used to think that complicated sheets would garner more attention, since they would sound far more fantastic. But here, my simple sheets where anyone could play, and people liked it...

It wasn't long after that I then made sheets on a consistent basis. Be it Chinese songs by Jay Chou or Eric Chou, anime sheets which came later... I found it a joy that I could be of service to a community. 

But in my search for improvement in which I tried playing K Pop, Eng Pop and other stuff to try and improve, I was actually neglecting my Chinese song listeners... I didn't realize it. Not until lately. 

I mentioned this in the past profusely that I promise to improve. It is still my promise. The only difference is: I've now got a focus. Me being on YouTube isn't about trying to boast what I can do. Alongside improving my musical skills, I want to make sheets/music that people will listen to. I want to be of good use to a community. Ultimately, I wish to be accepted by that community, and perhaps be with the Big Boys on Youtube like Ray Mak... at least be known within my country. And that, brought me back from my arduous journey of self searching...

I will now dedicate my channel to my past, as Ive grew up listening to Mando Pop, my present: I'm sooooo into Anime, and my future: YOU. My channel will serve to provide music resources for those 2 genres, for those who have subscribed to me. (Cuz come on, you won't stick around a channel which is not your taste.)

Nothing seems to have changed alot, haven't they?

I'm kinda lost in YouTube right now, and not quite sure how to make my way back around...

What do I expect out of tis? Is it just me in my channel? Am i doing service to my subscribers? Are people listening to my videos?

A note: I didnt get to bring my big gun camera that I used to use for recordings, since it was kinda in the way of my stuff.... so I settled for a smaller gun camera, so video resolution wont be that great...

I'm kinda frustrated right now...

I really hope to have some interaction in my channel... otherwise it really feels as though... I'm just playing for myself... My loathsome self...

There's a lot going on inside my head... Hope the skies will clear...

New Place, New Way of Life

Hey~

Feels ages since my last update here...

Recap on what has happened:
I'm already on an exchange program for a year, so right now I'm still doing my YouTube things =) Though it's a bit more of a challenge to carry it out.

I should have actually made a post for my previous vlogging vid. Wonder why I never did..

Technically, other than a few photos to show this new beautiful place I'm in, there's nothing more to them. Just head over to my instagram if u wanna see those pics~

After so long, I've managed to touch a grand piano, and practice on it... The feeling of it is so surreal. Immensely wonderful. As promised, I have made Fate/Apocrypha ED Full Desir already. I was a little tense when recording it since I've practically never touched an analog piano for ages. IT WAS JUST SO GOOD.

So yep~ I'll still be doing what I used to be, and I hope to see you again.

Fate/Apocrypha ED - Desir Piano Sheets

Alright so here're some news.

My time has come to leave for my exchange program. ( I mentioned this some time ago...  Anybody remembered lol ?) And I'll be away from my home country for about a year. 

I am a nobody, but I am really wishing to be somebody. A "somebody" in which I can be happy as. Cliché af, but I wanna continue practicing/playing anime songs. I could do more Chinese songs for my Chinese listeners too, in fact I should... Ooops.

Anyway, I've come to a point in my music development where I cannot stop doing what I'm doing on YouTube. 

Yea sure Im just one of the small fries small fish in the net, and my vids aren't getting much attention. But some how, whenever I'm done with an anime song, even if it goes quite poorly in the views, I still feel accomplished, something that most other genres just won't give.  Repeatedly doing this eventually made me realize that I want, and I love, to play anime music. And I wanna keep doing it.

I want to continue regardless, because it is the only way to realize my dream of going on this YouTube journey, a dream that only recently I realized I want it very badly. 

A dream to be my country's BEST ANIME PIANIST. 

I want that. I really want that. Even if I cannot achieve international fame, at the very least, let me be a jaguh kampung. 

At least, I want to be great on the soil that I was born on.

It's just sooo nice to hear GARNiDELiA's voice. And I thought only Kalafina could pull off the type of melancholic songs. Gladdd to have that goddess around~

HAHA I remembered I used to joke around saying GARNiDELiA's name as GARDENiLiA, which is 99% similar to the bread brand GARDENIA~ XD

My Last Sheets...

Hey fam!

I've been busy catching with my sheets for the past week, and I have managed to finish all my sheets that I said I would make. In total I finished 3 sets of sheets, and it's a triple whammy this time!

1) Koe No Katachi ED - Koe Wo Shita No Wa 

A rather straight forward song, it just might be a little long. Very original to the actual ending.

2) Koe No Katachi OST - lit

Oh, I experimented a bit on adding more runs to this piece, and I'd say it turned out rather well! ^^|||

3) Boku No Hero Academia OP 1 - THE DAY

****, this is my favourite sheet. Exactly the way I wanted, and a very SATISFYING WORK!! 10/10 pls~ However I couldn't note the ending very well cuz of the software limitation... You'll see in the sheets what I mean. 

Unfortunately I couldn't get the feelings right for YOU CAN BE A HERO, a song that I will play when the conditions are right... =(((((

So my next work will be Désir, Fate Apocrypha ED instead.  =D
